WFW advises Eléments on €50m fundraising12 December 2023

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised independent French power producer Eléments on the project and due diligence aspects of its €50m fundraising from a consortium comprising its historic shareholder Noria, Bpifrance (via its energy and environmental transition fund France Investissement Energie Environnement 2), eight Crédit Agricole regional banks, OCCTE (via its OCCTE OCCIGEN fund) and Enerfip Gestion, the management company of crowdfunding platform Enerfip.

The funds raised will support the growth of Eléments’ energy production, with a target of 1 GW in construction and operation by 2030 and at expanding its business at regional level in France and in Italy, Finland and Germany, where it already operates.

Founded in 2015 in Montpellier in France and with 100+ employees, Eléments is active in the solar, wind and hydroelectric sectors and aims to supply carbon-free electricity from projects that it develops itself.

The WFW Paris team that advised Eléments on the regulatory, real estate and project contract aspects was led by Partner Laurent Battoue, assisted by Counsel Antoine Bois-Minot and Associates Juliana Brandao-Marques, Amandine Collard and Catherine Masquelet.
