Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that the firm’s Madrid Energy team was named Team of the Year Energy at the Iberian Lawyer Forty Under 40 Awards 2026.
The WFW Madrid Energy team was recognised for its sophisticated work across renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Iberian Lawyer noted the team’s deep sector knowledge and pragmatic approach which have contributed to consistently delivering solutions for investors, sponsors, developers and financial institutions at the forefront of the energy transition.
Iberian Lawyer is one of the leading legal publications in Spain and Portugal. The Forty Under 40 Awards recognise and celebrate the most promising young lawyers, professionals and teams in the Iberian market who are nominated by their peers, colleagues and clients.
The ceremony was held on 24 September at the Palacio de la Prensa in Madrid. The award was accepted by WFW Partner Javier Ruffin – who won ‘Energy Lawyer of the Year’ in 2025 – Senior Associates Pilar Rozas, Alejandro Martínez, Paula Pérez, Isabel Rodríguez de Codes, Pablo Manchado and Jacobo Hermidas. All WFW attendees were also nominated for individual awards.
