WFW returns excellent Q3 2020 energy & infrastructure league table results27 October 2020

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has once more attained a fantastic set of results in the Q3 2020 Energy & Infrastructure league table rankings for legal advisers in leading sector publications inspiratia, Inframation and IJGlobal.

WFW has topped inspiratia’s global renewables rankings by deal count for the seventh consecutive quarter. We also lead this quarter’s transaction volume table. Following consistently strong performances in 2020, the firm is ranked top by both deal count and transaction volume in the Q1-3 2020 global renewables rankings as well as picking up its first global infrastructure rankings: 7^th by transaction volume and 8^th by deal count over Q1-3 2020.

40 top twenty rankings were amassed in Inframation and SparkSpread’s Q3 2020 league tables, including first place by deal count in the Global Renewables table. The firm’s leadership of the market in Spain is reflected by the fact that it is top across all sectors by both deal count and deal value. WFW picked up 17 top five rankings, three more than in Q3 2019, and topped nine tables. Our first-place rankings were:

• 1^st by deal count – All Sectors EMEA
• 1^st by deal count – All Sectors Europe
• 1^st by deal count – Europe Renewables
• 1^st by deal count – All Sectors EU
• 1^st by deal count – All Sectors UK
• 1^st by deal count – All Sectors Spain
• 1^st by deal value – All Sectors Spain
• 1^st by deal count – All Sectors France

The firm moves up in seven different tables in IJGlobal’s rankings, most notably up to 3^rd in the Global Renewables Infrastructure Finance table. Six top ten rankings were attained by the firm, including these three top five places:

• 3^rd by deal value – Global Renewables Infrastructure Finance
• 5^th by deal value – Global Renewables Project Finance
• 5^th by deal value – Europe Project Finance
