WFW promotes eight lawyers to partnership for 20223 May 2022

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has promoted eight lawyers to the firm’s partnership for 2022, bringing the total number of partners to 173. They are:

Jennifer Charles – Energy & Infrastructure, London

Jennifer specialises in UK and international project financings with a particular focus on renewables projects and related infrastructure. She has extensive experience advising on the financing aspects of projects in the energy, power, water and infrastructure sectors as well as commercial projects and regulatory matters.

Christina Economides – Transport, Athens

Christina focusses her practice on the maritime sector, advising on cross-border asset finance transactions, fleet acquisitions, newbuilding contracts, sale and purchase agreements, sale and leaseback deals, portfolio transfers, bond issuance, loan restructurings, corporate acquisitions and public offerings. Her clients include shipowning companies and operators, banks, financial institutions and private equity funds

Javier EsterEnergy & Infrastructure, Madrid

Javier has extensive expertise advising on strategic corporate transactions in the energy sector, especially as regards renewables assets, including M&A, private equity transactions and corporate restructurings. He also advises on infrastructure, industrial and services projects, both in Spain and internationally.

Christina Giagka – Transport, Athens

Christina specialises in maritime law and regularly acts for banks, financial institutions, private funds and shipowning companies on a wide range of matters including asset finance and security documentation, loan transfers, loan restructurings, sale and purchase transactions, sale and leaseback deals, shipbuilding contracts and refund guarantees.

Dimitris Karamacheras – Transport, Athens

Dimitris focusses on maritime finance, including loan and security documentations, sale and leaseback structures, complex debt restructurings and the transfer of shipping portfolios. Clients include major banks, financial institutions and shipping companies.

Philippe MonfortTransport, Paris

Dual qualified in France and England & Wales, Philippe advises on French, British and cross-border financing transactions including corporate lending, acquisition finance, tax lease transactions and structured finance. He has a particular focus on asset finance, notably aviation, shipping, rail and infrastructure.

Lizzie RoeTransport, Singapore

Lizzie advises financial institutions, sponsors, lessors, owners and operators on a wide range of project and asset financings matters including leasing transactions and tax-driven structures for commercial maritime documentation including charterparties, lease agreements and asset sale and purchase contracts.

Carolin WoggonEnergy & Infrastructure, Hamburg

Carolin specialises in M&A transactions, joint ventures and project development with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors, including the acquisition and financing of offshore and onshore wind farms, photovoltaic and geothermal energy projects and the development of wind farm projects across Europe.
