Episode 2 – Offshore Wind Energy and the Impact on the Maritime Industry
Tuesday 11 May 2021
The search for renewable and sustainable energy sources is driving the construction of offshore wind farms out into deeper waters, where higher offshore wind speeds lead to increased power generation at competitive costs. There is strong public and private investor interest in this sector with several projects already announced around the world, opening up new opportunities for the energy and maritime industries.
In this webinar, moderated by Hamburg Partner Dr Christian Finnern, New York Partners Daniel Pilarski (Tax and Regulatory Group) and Christopher Belisle (Finance Group) explain structuring wind farm investments with a focus on US investment, the Jones Act and bankability. They are joined by London Partner Richard Smith (Finance Group) for a panel discussion on bankability and structuring issues to ensure you have a project which “works”.
