WFW advises Idoka on Basilicata wind project green financing 3 July 2026

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Idoka Group (“Idoka”) on a green mini-perm project financing, granted by UniCredit, for the construction of a 42 MW wind farm in the province of Matera, Basilicata region, Italy.

The project, which has been awarded incentives under Italy’s transitional FER X support scheme, is expected to produce approximately 77 GWh of electricity per year upon completion, equivalent to the energy consumption of around 65,000 people, with commercial operations scheduled to begin in H2 2027.

Idoka is an Italian company with over 40 years of experience in civil and infrastructure construction, with a strong track record in the renewable energy sector.

The WFW Italy Energy team that advised Idoka was led by WFW Italy Head and Corporate Partner Eugenio Tranchino and Project Finance Partner Matteo Trabacchin. They were supported by Associates Francesca Angelilli and Tommaso Nicola Lacalaprice on financing aspects of the transaction and by Associate Dario Matrecano and Trainee Maddalena Convertini on due diligence activities and drafting project documentation. Public Law Partner Tiziana Manenti, Senior Associates Cristina Betti and Antimo Rocco Nersita and Associate Matteo Bucciarelli advised on regulatory and due diligence matters. Senior Associate Anthony Bellacci and Associate Manuela De Stefano provided real estate expertise.
