Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised CUBOS Group on its acquisition of the B2B charging infrastructure business of TotalEnergies Charging Solutions Deutschland GmbH (“TotalEnergies”) in Germany. As part of the transaction, CUBOS Group will acquire more than 6,000 AC and DC charging points as well as all employees assigned to the business.
Following the acquisition, CUBOS Group will operate more than 15,000 charging points for over 1,000 B2B customers, making it one of Germany’s leading charge point operators (“CPOs”).
Based in Wolfsburg, Germany, CUBOS Group develops and manufactures integrated energy solutions with a focus on intelligent charging infrastructure and battery storage and photovoltaic systems.
The WFW Germany Infrastructure team that advised CUBOS Group was led by Hamburg Corporate Partner Christian R. Schindler, working closely with Hamburg Partners Dr F. Maximilian Boemke. They were supported by Hamburg Senior Associate Moritz von Baumbach and Hamburg Associate Dr Benedikt Kraft. Hamburg Partner Dr Christine Bader and Düsseldorf Counsel Rebecca Trampe-Berger advised on regulatory matters.
