WFW Global Maritime Sector Co-Head Lindsey Keeble named WIBLA European Shipping and Maritime Lawyer of the Year 202125 June 2021

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that Global Maritime Sector Co-Head Lindsey Keeble has been named ‘Shipping and Maritime Lawyer of the Year’ at the Women in Business Law Awards (WIBLA) 2021 Europe at a virtual ceremony held on 24 June 2021.

Euromoney’s WIBLA Europe bring together the best women lawyers from across the region to celebrate the advancements of women in the legal profession, both in-house and in private practice. The awards provide a platform to recognise the women lawyers at the forefront of their field and the firms that are leading the effort to advance women and diversity and inclusion in the legal industry. These efforts include continuous initiatives for mentorship, gender diversity, minority women, talent management and work-life balance.

Lindsey’s WIBLA win follows on from being named one of Lloyd’s List’s Top 10 Maritime Lawyers 2019 and reaffirms her standing as one of the leading legal advisors to the shipping industry worldwide. Nor is she the first WFW Partner to have been recognised by WIBLA, with Asia Assets & Structured Finance Group Head Madeline Leong and Asia Projects and Corporate Group Head Linh Doan having been named ‘Lawyer of the International Trade and Shipping Lawyer of the Year’ and ‘Energy, Natural Resources and Mining Lawyer of the Year’ respectively at the WIBLA 2020 Asia Awards. In addition, Singapore Partner Mei Lin Goh also won Euromoney’s ‘Best in Shipping’ award in both 2018 and 2019, while Madeline joined Lindsey as one of Lloyd’s List’s Top 10 Maritime Lawyers in 2020.
