WFW Global Energy Sector Co-Heads recognised in AWAW Legal Power List 20209 July 2020

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that Global Energy Sector Co-Heads Malte Jordan and Henry Stewart have been recognised in the third edition of A Word About Wind’s bi-annual Top 100 Legal Power List, which recognises the brightest and best legal minds working in the global wind industry both inhouse and in private practice.

Malte, who was also listed last year, improves his ranking from 49th to 24th in recognition of his expertise in advising on major deals within the offshore wind industry. In particular his work for APG & TRIG on the acquisition of the 396 MW Merkur wind farm, completed towards the end of 2019, was highlighted.

Henry joins the list for the first time in 68th place. His entry highlights his breakthrough as one of the energy sector’s most prolific lawyers. He is noted for advising on Nord/LB’s financing of the 474 MW Nysater onshore cluster wind farm in Sweden.

A Word About Wind is a respected provider of news and intelligence on the European wind industry. Its Legal Power List is based on an extensive, independent shortlisting and ranking process undertaken by their editorial team in conjunction with a panel of expert judges from the wind and finance sectors.

Malte commented: “I’m honoured to have once again been named one of the world’s leading legal advisers to the wind industry, and that Henry is also now rightly recognised as such also”.

Henry added: “While these are individual rankings for us, they could not have been achieved without the enthusiasm and dedication of our talented colleagues in the Global Energy Group”.
