Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Mid Infra S.L.P. (“Mid Infra”), a fund managed by Schroders Capital, on its purchase of a 15.5 MW solar portfolio from Italian developers Seuridice I S.r.l. and Enerelios S.r.l., both owned by Belenergia SpA.
The portfolio comprises three ground-mounted photovoltaic projects currently under development in Tuscany and Sicily.
Schroders Capital is the private investing arm of world-class asset manager Schroders, operating from 37 locations across Europe, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Belenergia is one of the main players in the European renewable energy sector, including solar, wind and biomass.
The WFW Energy Italy team that advised Mid Infra on corporate and regulatory matters regarding the transaction was led by Italy Head and Partner Eugenio Tranchino, working closely with Counsel Luca Sfrecola, Associates Giovanni Benedetto and Sonia Basso, and Trainee Alice Zago.
