WFW advises CUBOS Group on acquisition of SCAPO 13 October 2026

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised CUBOS Group on its acquisition of SCAPO. With this acquisition, the CUBOS Group further expands its charging business and range of integrated energy solutions. The transaction forms part of the group’s growth strategy, following CUBOS’s recent acquisition of TotalEnergies’ B2B charging infrastructure business, on which WFW also advised.

SCAPO, based in Mainz, Germany, operates charging infrastructure throughout Germany with a focus on Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.

Based in Wolfsburg, Germany, CUBOS Group develops and manufactures integrated energy solutions with a focus on intelligent charging infrastructure and battery storage and photovoltaic systems.

The WFW Hamburg Infrastructure team that advised CUBOS Group was led by Corporate Partner Christian R. Schindler, working closely with Partner Dr F. Maximilian Boemke. They were supported by Senior Associates Moritz von Baumbach and Dr Kornelius Lotha as well as Associate Dr Benedikt Kraft.

Christian commented: “We are delighted to have once again advised CUBOS Group on an important strategic step in its growth strategy. This transaction highlights the ongoing dynamics in the charging infrastructure market, which is increasingly characterised by consolidation and strategic acquisitions”.
