Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that GOH MEI LIN, Partner and Singapore Office Head, has been named ‘Best in Shipping’ by the Euromoney Legal Media Group ASIA WOMEN IN BUSINESS LAW AWARDS 2019.
Now in its ninth year, the Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards bring together the best female lawyers from across the region to celebrate the advancements of women in the legal profession, both in-house and in private practice.
Mei commented: “I’m extremely pleased to have received this award and am particularly proud that WFW had nominations in both Hong Kong and Singapore – congratulations to fellow Partner Linh Doan for her nomination in the ‘Energy, Natural Resources & Mining’ category. This is indicative of the strong and inspiring team of women working for the firm across the Asia-Pacific region”.
Mei was previously named Euromoney’s ‘Best in Shipping’ in 2016 and Partner and Hong Kong Office Head Madeline Leong won the same award in 2017, demonstrating the firm’s strong, supportive, and diverse maritime sector group. WFW is proud to have celebrated the firm’s leading female lawyers winning numerous awards over the years including Mei being named “Individual Lawyer of the Year” in 2017 by Lloyd’s List Asia Pacific, and most significantly in 2017 when Mei was named in the “Top 10 Maritime Lawyers” by Lloyds List, and again in 2019 when the firm’s Global Maritime Sector Head Lindsey Keeble also achieved this prestigious award.
