Alison Weal

Alison is Knowledge Counsel in the Assets and Structured Finance group.
Alison specialises in aviation and shipping finance and brings a wealth of experience having practised law in the transportation sector for over 20 years, including as a Partner in the London offices of two highly-regarded US law firms.
Alison has advised clients on high-profile leasing and financing transactions in both sectors and now provides the WFW transportation team with legal support on cutting edge transactions.
During her career practising law Alison was ranked as a Next Generation Partner by Legal 500 in 2022 and was a Law360 Rising Star in Transportation under the age of 40 in 2016. She led and worked on multiple award winning transactions in the aviation and shipping sectors.
Alison also plays an active role within the Aviation Working Group and has written numerous articles in publications such as Tradewinds, Lexology and Bunkerspot.
