WFW assisted Ellomay Capital in raise the funds they need to finance the construction and associated costs of their Italian solar portfolio through a bespoke multi-tranche structure allowing for a wider range of financial investors.
The projects will have a total capacity of 20 MW once operational.
WFW acted as Belenergia’s Italian legal counsel on all aspects of the transaction.
The transaction has been cleared by the European Commission under the EU Merger Regulation.
The financing will be used to develop a 40 MW portfolio of ready-to-build projects.
Watson Farley & Williams advised Logista Italia S.p.A. on the acquisition of Gramma Farmaceutici, a provider of logistics services to the Italian pharmaceutical industry.
Photosol intends for this inaugural investment to be the first of many in the Italian market.
The portfolio comprises four PV projects in Italy, three in Spain and one in Germany.
Both projects are located within Italy’s maritime exclusive economic zone.
