Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that Senior Associate Royce Lee has been named an Ishka Airfinance Rising Star 2026.

The Ishka Airfinance Rising Stars list recognises the most promising emerging legal talent, highlighting high-performing aviation lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional expertise, commitment and impact within the industry.

Royce was recognised for his extensive experience advising financial institutions, banks, operating lessors, airlines and operators on complex cross-border aviation finance, leasing, sale and purchase transactions across the Asia-Pacific region.

The publication also recognised Royce’s unique market insight arising from his background as a Korean national and former military officer with the Republic of Korea Ministry of National Defence, noting his deep understanding of Korea’s regulatory, commercial and institutional landscape that distinguishes him among international aviation finance practitioners.

WFW Global Aviation, Aerospace and Defence Sector Jim Bell commented: “Royce’s recognition as an Ishka Airfinance Rising Star is richly deserved. He combines outstanding technical expertise with strong commercial judgment and a deep understanding of the Asia-Pacific aviation market. Since joining WFW, he has quickly established himself as a trusted adviser on complex cross-border transactions and a valuable member of our global aviation team. We are delighted to see his talent and achievements recognised by the industry”.

Royce added: “I am honoured by this recognition, which reflects the support of my colleagues, mentors and clients. My background in Korea and in Singapore has given me a distinct perspective on cross-border aviation finance in the Asia-Pacific region. I look forward to continuing to support our clients as the sector evolves and grows”.
