Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that three of the firm’s partners have been named to Tamarindo’s Legal Power List 2026. They are Global Energy Sector Head Henry Stewart, Energy Sector Head – Europe & Americas and Madrid Office Head María Pilar García Guijarro and London Projects Partner Jennifer Charles.
In its fifth edition, The Legal Power List details the top 100 legal advisors globally in the renewable power generation and energy storage industries.
Henry was recognised for advising on a series of major transactions in 2025, including including VPI’s 2 GW UK CCGT portfolio refinancing, a €330m Finnish onshore wind project financing for OX2, and 612MW / 1.6 GWh battery portfolio financing for Constantine Energy Storage.
María Pilar garnered her ranking for advising Velto on a €1.1bn solar acquisition; as well as advising Stonepeak on its strategic partnership with Solaria through its acquisition of a stake in Generia.
Jennifer was selected for advising the consortium of lenders and hedge counterparties on the £594m debt package for the 2.9 GWh Thorpe Marsh BESS project in Yorkshire, UK – the largest battery energy storage project in the country to date, the £235m financing for the 680 MW Carrington BESS project and the capital refinancing of leading renewables investment firm, Low Carbon.
