WFW wins European Commission (DG MOVE) tender for Mobility and Transport3 February 2022

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has been awarded, together with project partners BIP – Business Integration Partners (as group leader), Prometetia SpA and Access Marketing Management, the tender launched last February by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission (“DG MOVE”) for the provision of support services in the field of mobility and transport.

The tender is for a four year period and involves assisting the awarding authority in the study, design, preparation and implementation of strategic policies, initiatives and legislative proposals in the fields of mobility and transport, with particular attention given to issues of sustainability, consumer protection and gender equality. The maximum total value of the tender, which includes several tasks to be awarded under the framework contract, is €6m.

The multidisciplinary, cross-border WFW team is being led and coordinated by WFW Italy Head Eugenio Tranchino and Rome Public Law, Regulatory & Competition Counsel Giannalberto Mazzei. The other members of the team are Aviation Senior Associate Irene De Beni in Rome, Public Law, Regulatory & Competition Senior Consultant Lucien Rapp and Corporate Counsel Ariane Massonnaud in Paris and Employment Partners Andreas Wiegreffe, Nikolaus Krienke and Philipp Byers in Germany.
