Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that aviation finance expert Pete O’Hare is joining the firm as a Partner in London as of 25 September 2019. He was previously an Associate at Milbank LLP in the same city.

Pete has a broad aviation finance practice, with particular expertise in the lessor and debt capital markets sectors. Over the past decade he has advised on some of the largest and most complex aviation finance transactions worldwide, over ten of which won “Deal of the Year” and “Team of the Year” awards from leading sector publications.

London-based WFW Aviation Sector Co-Head Jim Bell commented: “Pete is a fantastic new addition to our Aviation team, with a wealth experience and an enviable reputation in the key London and Dublin markets in particular. He is another quality hire we’ve made from Milbank’s aviation group in 2019, following that of New York, California and England & Wales qualified London Of Counsel Dominic Pearson earlier in the year”.

WFW Aviation Sector Co-Head Charles Viggers, who relocated this month from Paris to the firm’s Singapore office, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Pete to the WFW. He adds extra strength to the firm’s well-established aviation finance and leasing offering and it is good to have him on board as we continue to grow our global team”.

Pete added: “With its impressive asset finance reputation and international network, WFW represents the ideal platform from which to provide a first-class service to my clients and expand my practice. I look forward to working with my new colleagues at WFW, many of whom I have worked with previously and whose expertise I greatly respect”.
