Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Wocap S.A. (“Wocap”), on the successful completion of its pre-seed funding round, which raised a total of €450,000. The funding round was led by Genesis Ventures.
Founded in 2025, Athens-based Wocap is an innovative start-up that connects large corporations with excess cash to small and medium-sized enterprises in need of working capital. It aims to redefine the future of working capital by connecting buyers and suppliers through a dynamic marketplace.
Backed by the European Investment Fund, Genesis Ventures is a new angel co-investment fund providing pre-seed/seed capital and hands-on support to early-stage founders and investors. With the aim of becoming the ‘go-to’ VC fund for all Greek and Southeast European start-ups and backed by world-class founders, it has deployed initial tickets ranging from €100,000 to €400,000 with the potential for further follow-on investments.
The WFW Athens Project and Structured Finance team that advised Wocap was led by Counsel Valina Giouzelaki, supported by Senior Associate Eleni Stylianou, Associate Asimina Papakosta and Trainee Dimitris Mavroudeas.
