Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised VOL-V, a French renewable energy developer backed by investment fund Mirova, regarding the sale of its subsidiary VOL-V Électricité Renouvelable (“VOL-V ER”) and of all its wind and photovoltaic projects and assets to Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (“CNR”), one of France’s largest renewable energy operators.

The 1700 MW VOL-V ER portfolio includes 50 MW of projects built or under construction and 130 MW of authorised projects.

WFW assisted VOL-V on the due diligence and project aspects of the transaction, and in the preparation of a vendor’s legal due diligence report relating to its wind assets.

The WFW Paris team that advised VOL-V was led by Partners Laurence Martinez-Bellet and Laurent Battoue, assisted by Senior Associate Antoine Bois-Minot, and Associates Noëlène Grenard, Michaël Haddak and Anthony Pilon.
