Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised the arrangers and lenders on the first corporate syndicated loan to be arranged for the Euronext-listed Lhyfe Group, one of the world’s pioneers in the production of green and renewable hydrogen.
This innovative first green corporate syndicated loan for a green and renewable hydrogen player in France was structured by the Crédit Agricole Group, acting as Green Structuring Advisor, arranger and lender, alongside HSBC, Groupe BPCE and Crédit Mutuel Océan.
The loan, repayable at maturity will enable Lhyfe to build new green hydrogen sites to decarbonise industry and transport to become a leader in the production of green hydrogen in Europe, in particular in France and Germany, by 2025.
Represented in 12 European countries, Lhyfe is devoted to energy transition and a producer and supplier of green and renewable hydrogen. Its production sites and portfolio of projects provide access to green and renewable hydrogen in industrial quantities to bring about a virtuous energy model capable of decarbonising entire sectors of industry and transport.
The WFW Paris Finance team that advised the banks was led by Partner Philippe Wolanski, assisted by Associates Valentine Andaloro and Pauline Deforges.
