International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised the start-up x3Fab on all phases of its launch and on its first major project.

The creation of the excubator concept was the missing link in the chain of disruptive projects innovation but a solution has now been provided by Sébastien Chotard and Arnaud Gervais de Lafond, founders of x3Fab. This start-up proposes to take on disruptive projects on behalf of large companies, bringing to them an external perspective on their development and also leading to the uberisation of the market of its clients. x3Fab can take charge of all the necessary steps in developing such projects from conception, seed funding, recruitment and employee incentives through to the financing of Series A funding rounds.

WFW advised x3Fab on the legal and tax aspects of the launch of this concept.

The WFW Paris team advising x3Fab was led by Partners Pascal Roux (Corporate) and Romain Girtanner (Tax), assisted by Anne-Kelly d’Amécourt (Senior Associate) and Pierre Chipaux (Associate).

Sébastien Chotard and Arnaud Gervais de Lafond commented: “This is an extremely promising project and should be indispensable to the innovation ‘ecosystem’.  We appreciated the pragmatic approach of Pascal and his team, which means we now have an efficient solution for any future challenges”.

Pascal added that, in his view: “WFW’s firm’s Innovation & Technology team has been able to demonstrate all its skills and creativity working alongside x3Fab and its founders on disruptive projects in different business sectors”.
