Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Belenergia and RGREEN INVEST on the sale of a 40 MW wind farm in Basilicata to Iberdrola.
Developed in 2013 and engineered, procured and built by Belenergia, the project has been operational since 2018. Its sale aligns with Belenergia’s strategy to redeploy capital and reinforce its existing and future projects in the region.
Milan-based Belenergia is active in the renewable energy sector and a pioneer in the circular economy. It develops, builds, and operates photovoltaic solar and wind farms, as well as plants for generating energy from waste and organic matter.
RGREEN INVEST is a Paris-based investment management company specialising in infrastructure projects that power the energy transition, as well as mitigation and adapting to climate change.
