Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Belagreen Nord S.R.L. (“Belagreen Nord”), a company managed by Belenergia S.A. (“Belenergia”), on the acquisition of Bagnolo Energia Agricola Rinnovabile S.r.l. (“BEAR”).
BEAR owns a circa 1 MW plant in the Italian province of Brescia producing electricity and heat from biogas derived from the fermentation process of poultry pollen and cattle slurry among others.
Belenergia and Belagreen Nord are also finalising further biogas and biomethane plants to be included in the joint venture with the Belenergia S.A. Group.
Belenergia develops, builds and operates renewable energy production sites in the solar, wind and bio-energy sectors. It currently manages a portfolio of 150+ MW with more than 1 GW of projects currently under development.
