Completion is expected in 2021 with annual power production of 315 GWh to provide green power to 80,000 households, resulting in an annual reduction of CO2 emission of 93,000 tonnes.

Following the completion of the transaction, Hoegh LNG is now fully funded with both equity and debt for its current newbuilding programme, which will be completed with the delivery of Hoegh Galleon in August 2019.
This was a major renewables project financing in terms of the capacity of the projects in the Spanish market, as well as one of the biggest to date worldwide.
This is one of few “merchant” plant financings in Spain, with the project expected to sell its energy, first through a PPA, and then directly to market.
