We advised Volkswind GmbH, a subsidiary of Switzerland’s Axpo Holding AG, on its sale of three French wind farms with a combined capacity of 72 MW.
The portfolio comprises a total of nine wind parks and two solar parks.
Statkraft is expected to more than double the generation capacity of the portfolio going forward.
Operational for over six years, the portfolio has a total capacity of circa 100 MW.
Tikehau Capital’s Green Assets impact fund will finance a programme under which NovaFrance Energy will install photovoltaic arrays for 5,000 poultry shelters on French farm.
The project is being developed by OW, a joint venture between Engie and EDP Renewables.
The project sponsors were Valeco, investment fund Mirova and GEG (Gaz Electricité de Grenoble), with Astris Finance acting as their financial adviser.
Apex Energies aims to secure 1 GW of project capacity by 2025 and Macquarie will support its ambition to become a top independent solar power producer in France.
The sold portfolio consists of eight projects located in northern France in areas selected specifically for high wind speeds, all with tier-1 manufacturers and full-service contracts.
