WFW advised on ten Marine Money “Deal of the Year” winning deals11 April 2024

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that leading maritime sector publication Marine Money has named 10 deals that the firm advised on as ‘Deals of the Year’ in their annual Deal of the Year Awards.

The award-winning deals are:

  • Bank Debt Deal of the Year: Scorpio Tankers US$1bn Refinancing;
  • Green Category Deals of the Year: Hafnia Five and a Half Year Sustainability Linked Revolving Credit Facility;
  • Jones Act Deal of the Year: Centerline Logistics US$425m Refinancing;
  • Leasing Deals of the Year: Yildirim Group Refinances 10 Chemical/Oil Product Tankers and 4 General Cargo Vessels with US$75m Financial Lease;
  • Leasing East Deal of the Year: Global Meridian Holdings Sale and Leaseback of 14 LNG Newbuilds to be Chartered to Qatar Energy in US$1.88bn Deal;
  • M&A Deals of the Year: Pangaea Logistics Acquisition of Port Terminal Operations;
  • Offshore West Lending: EnTrust Blue Ocean Group US$122m Senior Secured Term Loan to SEACOR Marine;
  • Structured Finance Deal of the Year: Höegh LNG Recieves US$685m Senior Secured Credit Facility Split in two Tranches;
  • Take Private Deal of the Year: Atlas (Seaspan) Take Private in Massive US$10.9bn Deal (WFW acted as Marshall Islands counsel to Ocean Network Express); and
  • Wild Card Deal of the Year: Frontline, CMB, Euronav, Loan facility for Frontline’s acquisition of 24 VLCC’s, Euronav’s refinancing, and the acquisition by CMB.
