Sydney Partner Nathan Eastwood recognised in Outstanding LGBTQ+ Executives Role Model List 20239 November 2023

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announced that Sydney Partner Nathan Eastwood has been recognised in the Outstanding LGBTQ+ Executives Role Model List 2023.

Compiled by INvolve, the diversity, equity and inclusion consultancy and global network, and supported by YouTube, the Outstanding LGBTQ+ Executives Role Model List celebrates and showcases LGBTQ+ business leaders and allies who are breaking down barriers and creating more inclusive workplaces across the world.

Nathan specialises in cross border disputes and international arbitration, particularly claims involving foreign governments under investment treaties and free trade agreements.

A sponsor of Proud, WFW’s LGBTQ+ and Allies Network, Nathan was recognised for his active role in promoting LGBTQ+ inclusion at the firm, including launching the APAC Chapter of Proud. He has also established a dedicated LGBTQ+ pro bono practice and has led several high-profile initiatives, through which he provides legal advice to Australian LGBTQ+ charities to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ youth and Australian first nations people.

Nathan said: “It is a privilege to be recognised in this list alongside other individuals who are doing fantastic work to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace and beyond. It is testament to our firm’s commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment, as well as the work of Proud both in the APAC region and across our global network”.

Founder and CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, says: “I’m so thrilled to be celebrating our 2023 Outstanding Role Models, a global group of trailblazing executives, future leaders and allies driving change for the LGBTQ+ community in business. All the individuals within these lists are championing inclusion and leveraging their experience and knowledge to drive impactful initiatives and strategic change within their organisations. It’s vital that LGBTQ+ individuals across the world can achieve career success, and these role models are essential drivers of change who are smashing barriers to progress”.
