We welcomed more than 50 clients and contacts from the maritime sector to our annual Owners’ Day, hosted Partner Christian Finnern at Hafen-Klub Hamburg.
Employment Partner Andreas Wiegreffe presented on fixed-term employment relationships and the new “bridge part-time” which came in force in January. Tax Partner Gerrit Bartsch gave an overview of the tax consequences of Brexit and Corporate Partner Björn-Axel Dißars discussed arbitration in Germany, and if there are alternatives to GMAA.
Following the presentations, maritime experts Capt. Stefan Bülow of BIMCO, Nicolaus Bunnemann, of Atlantic Lloyd GmbH & Co. KG, David Landgrebe of DS Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG and Jens Mahnke of Ernst Russ AG joined Partner Christian Finnern in a discussion of hot topics in the maritime space. The event ended with lunch and networking.
