A Greener Voyage: the EU Emissions Trading Scheme finally given the all clear to set sail for maritime
On 18 April 2023, the European Parliament voted in favour of the legislative amendments published on 8 February 2023 to the EU Emissions Trading Directive to include the maritime sector in the EU’s Emissions Trading Scheme.
The two projects, which are being built on land in a restriction-free zone, had previously been authorised for construction by the Lazio regional authorities.
