WFW strengthens global energy and infrastructure practice with key Singapore Partner hire1 September 2025

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that dispute resolution and arbitration expert Jun Bautista has joined the firm in Singapore as a partner, in a major boost to its Asia Pacific contentious energy and infrastructure practice. He was previously counsel at King & Spalding.  Prior to working at King & Spalding, Jun worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Manila.

Jun specialises in resolving complex commercial disputes, particularly through international arbitration.  For over a decade, he has represented clients across a number of industries in international arbitrations under various rules, with a particular focus on disputes in the infrastructure and energy sectors.  As well as arbitrations, Jun assists clients with court proceedings relating to arbitration such as enforcement, set aside and injunctions. Jun is also sought after for his experience in Philippine-related disputes and his long-time clients include some of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates.

He is the founding director of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution in Singapore, as well as a founding member and former co-chair of HK45, a young arbitration practitioners’ group in Asia. In addition to his counsel work, Jun also teaches international arbitration at the University of the Philippines College of Law and at the Asian Institute of Management. He also sits as an arbitrator.

WFW Asia Dispute Resolution Group Head Steve Burkill commented: “I am thrilled that Jun has joined our Dispute Resolution Group. He is a tremendous talent whose experience speaks for itself and will be a boon to our clients across the Asia Pacific region”.

Jun added: “I’m excited to be joining a firm with such a reputation for excellence in its core sectors. I look forward to continuing to grow my practice by leveraging WFW’s platform and helping further enhance its footprint especially the Philippines”.
