WFW strengthens German infrastructure practice with new partner hire1 September 2025

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that corporate lawyer Jörn Fingerhuth has joined the firm as a partner in Munich. He was previously partner in the real estate practice at Pinsent Masons in the same city.

With 20 years’ experience, Jörn focusses on complex digital and social infrastructure transactions as well as hospitality and traditional real estate. His clients include institutional investors, developers, operators, banks, insurers and private equity firms. With his extensive network and in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, he is a trusted advisor on challenging infrastructure and real estate projects.

He is especially well versed in the legal structuring and execution of transactions, including share and asset deals, forward funding models and sale-and-lease-back structures. His expertise spans both digital and social infrastructure projects, including data centres, hotels, healthcare properties and urban district developments. In the real estate sector, he advises on large-scale transactions, development projects and cross-border portfolio sales.

WFW Head of Germany Dr Christian Finnern commented: “I am delighted to welcome Jörn to the firm. With his broad expertise, particularly in digital and social infrastructure, he brings a valuable depth of knowledge in future-focussed sectors. Digital assets such as data centres, fibre-optic networks and smart urban development are becoming key components of long-term investment strategies. His arrival significantly strengthens our position in the German market and his deep real estate expertise actively supports our growth strategy in the infrastructure sector.”

Jörn added: “I very much look forward to working with my new colleagues to further expand WFW’s infrastructure and real estate offering. Digital and social assets, along with hotels and hospitality, are part of a growing market with increasing institutionalisation and regulatory complexity, making for an excellent platform for me to successfully expand my practice within the firm”.
