Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that it has been named ‘Shipping and Maritime Firm of the Year’ at the Asia Legal Awards 2018, held at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong on 22 March 2018.
In addition to the win, WFW was also nominated in the categories ‘Energy and Infrastructure Project of the Year’ for the Nghi Son 2 BOT $2.8B Coal-fired Thermal Power Plant Project and ‘Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency and Restructuring’ for the corporate rehabilitation of Hanjin Shipping.
Now in its fifth year, the Asia Legal Awards is organised annually by The Asian Lawyer in association with The American Lawyer, China Law & Practice and Legal Week. It honours and identifies the most important transactions, cases that are highly complex and outstanding legal work in the Asia-Pacific region.
The award demonstrates the strength and breadth of WFW Asia’s maritime practice and is the latest high profile recognition for the sector in the region, following being named ‘Shipping Firm of the Year’ by China Business Law Journalearlier this month.
