Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Gresham House Europe (formerly SUSI Partners) on the financing of nextbike GmbH’s (“nextbike”) concession for regional bike-sharing system MyRadl. The transaction was undertaken for Gresham House Europe’s energy transition credit platform, which has a decade-long track record in providing tailored, flexible financing solutions to European developers and energy service companies.
Operated by nextbike, MyRadl is the official regional bike-sharing system of the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund, “MVV”), with a fleet of approximately 6,700 bicycles, including e-bikes, across nearly 1,000 locations in Munich and 38 additional municipalities. The system represents Germany’s largest bike-sharing network, enhancing the integration of cycling and public transport across the Munich metropolitan area.
Gresham House is a global specialist alternative asset manager. The integration of SUSI Partners in January 2026 created a leading pan-European energy transition platform with more than €3bn AUM.
Leipzig-based nextbike is a leading European bike-sharing operator, with over 400 locations in more than 20 countries. Working closely with municipalities, nextbike provides flexible, affordable and user-friendly bicycle rental systems that are seamlessly integrated into local public transport networks.
