WFW advises Capital Dynamics on ca. €110m Nord/LB solar PV portfolio financing15 July 2025

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Capital Dynamics on a ca. €110m+ financing granted to them by Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (“NORD/LB”), for the development of a portfolio of three greenfield solar PV projects currently under construction in Spain’s Aragón region.

The three ground-mounted PV farms comprise 250,000+ panels and an aggregate capacity of approximately 160 MW. Once operational, they will help achieve Spain’s National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) target of 76 GW of installed solar capacity by 2030 by collectively powering 30,000 households, contributing significantly to Aragón’s renewable energy transition.

Capital Dynamics is an independent global asset management firm focussed on private assets, including clean energy and private equity. Its clean energy platform is one of the largest renewable energy investment managers in the world with a strong track record in utility-scale solar, wind and storage projects. With more than US$15bn AUM and advisory, the firm has offices across Europe, North America and Asia.

NORD/LB is one of Germany’s leading commercial banks with a strong focus on structured finance, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Headquartered in Hanover, NORD/LB has a long-standing commitment to renewable energy and has financed over 7 GW of renewable projects globally.

The WFW Madrid Finance team that advised Capital Dynamics was led by Partner Rodrigo Berasategui, working closely with Senior Associate Antonio Cáneva and Associates María Heredero and Miquel Ros.

NORD/LB was advised by Gómez-Acebo y Pombo.
