Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Bulk Shipping S.r.l. (“Bulk Shipping”), a special purpose vehicle of DeA Capital Alternative Funds SGR S.p.A., on the sale of the bulk carrier “Liberty K” to Oasea Maritime Co. (the “buyers”).
The Liberty K vessel, which was acquired by Bulk Shipping as part of a restructuring agreement with Michele Bottiglieri Armatore S.p.A., was sold to the buyers at market price. The 82,217 dwt vessel was built in China in 2010 at Tsuneishi Zhoushan Shipbuilding shipyard and has been employed since then carrying bulk products.
The WFW Italy Maritime team that acted for Bulk Shipping was led by Partner Furio Samela, working closely with Senior Associate Antonella Barbarito, Associate Sergio Napolitano, and Trainee Anna Palomba.
The buyers were assisted by in-house legal counsel Theodora Mitropetrou, Maria Moschopoulou and Maria Kalothetou.
