Valina is Counsel in the Project & Structured Finance Group.
Valina is a project finance lawyer with a strong focus on the energy sector, particularly renewable energy. She has extensive experience advising on the development, financing, acquisition and restructuring of energy projects, both in Greece and across multiple jurisdictions. Her practice spans a wide range of technologies including solar, wind and battery energy storage systems, acting for lenders, sponsors and developers.
She regularly leads complex transactions involving contractual and financing aspects of energy projects and has a deep understanding of the commercial and legal drivers in the sector.
In addition to her energy expertise, Valina advises on asset finance transactions, with particular emphasis on shipping and aviation.
Valina holds a law degree from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and an LL.M. from King’s College London. She joined the firm in 2007.

- Advising Triton Marine’s Shareholder on its acquisition by Howden Hellas Group.
- Advising Eurobank on €315M 560MW Greek Solar Project Financing.
- Advising Attica Bank on €63M 41MW Greek wind farm project financing.
- Advising Alpha Bank & Export Finance Norway on financing of three newbuilding AERO ype high-speed catamaran passenger vessels for Attica Group.
- Advising NBG on landmark €357m facility for DEFSA privatisation
- Advising CACIB in relation to a US$173.5m loan facility for Euronav NV providing financing for four ice-class suezmax newbuildings under construction by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.
- Advising EBRD on a €50m Greek law financing and Pireaus Bank S.A. on a €10m Greek law parallel financing in the Terna Energy group.
- Advising Natixis on the €32.5m aggregate refinancing of two Greek flag passenger ferries by ANEK Lines S.A. by way of sale and charter back.
