Sandy is a Senior Legal Manager in the Assets & Structured Finance Group in Hong Kong.
Sandy has more than 19 years’ of legal working experience including two years working experience with a local law firm in Singapore and one year secondment in New York. She advises PRC and international banks, leasing companies and other financial institutions on ship and container financing, refinancing and leasing transactions, and for shipowners in relation to financing and refinancing of ships and containers, sale and purchase of ships and containers and registration of ships. She also acts as escrow agent in sale and purchase, financing/refinancing and leasing transactions and advises clients on escrow and funding arrangements.
Sandy is experienced in handling complex loan and leasing transactions involving multiple jurisdictions, skilled in coordinating transaction parties and local lawyers in all relevant jurisdictions as leading counsel, efficiently and smoothly completing drawdowns/closings.
Prior to joining Watson Farley & Williams, she was with another reputable asset finance practice firm for over 18 years.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

- Advising a lending syndicate on a sustainability-linked senior unsecured committed revolving credit facility.
- Advising a lending syndicate led by major European bank on refinancing of 6 bulk carriers under sale and leaseback and dual flag arrangement.
- Advising a PRC leasing company on a sale and leaseback transaction of two LPG vessels under dual flag arrangement with a European shipowner.
- Advising a leading PRC financial leasing company on the operating lease of a bulk carrier under construction with sub-bareboat charter arrangement.
