Senior Associate Athens
Marilena is a Senior Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group.
She is qualified in Greece and specialises in shipping finance transactions, acting for and advising banks and financial institutions on their loan and security documentation as well as on the documentation relating to the sale, purchase and operation of ships.
She has significant experience in shipping and commercial litigation.
- Advising Danaos Corporation on the refinancing of US$1.25bn of its outstanding senior secured debt (which totalled US$1.3bn as of 31 December 2020). The deal won the Bank Debt Deal of the Year 2022 by Marine Money.
- Advising CPLP Shipping Holdings PLC on the issuance and public offering of a US$150m corporate bond on the Athens Stock Exchange, guaranteed by Capital Product Partners L.P..
- Advising CA-CIB and HCOB on US$140m financing for GSL.
- Advising Danaos Corporation on the refinancing of US$1.25bn of its outstanding senior secured debt (which totalled US$1.3bn as of 31 December 2020).
