Kunadha is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Group.

Kunadha joined Watson Farley & Williams as an associate in 2012 and re-joined in 2016 after completing his Master of Laws (with Distinction) from University College London (Chevening scholarship).

His experience ranges from international arbitration under the UNCITRAL, ICC, SIAC, LCIA, HKIAC, TAI and KCAB rules and those administered by the PCA and Thai court litigation. His area of legal works also includes commercial, construction, labour, intellectual property, transportation advisory and disputes in particular in the Energy and Oil & Gas industry.

In 2022, one client through Legal 500 noted him to be “very diligent, responsive, precise, and organised”. In 2023, he was named a ‘Rising Star’ in the inaugural Asian Legal Business’ Thailand Rising Stars list.

Kunadha is a dual-qualified lawyer. He has been admitted in Thailand since 2012 and in England and Wales (as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales) since 2019. Kunadha is also a certified Thai Notarial Services Attorney.

  • Advising Kingdom of Thailand and its Ministry of Energy in disputes (multi-billion US$ is in dispute, ad hoc arbitration and administered by the PCA) against multinational energy corporation relating to decommissioning of petroleum assets in the Gulf of Thailand.
  • Advising a Thai and Japanese consortium in disputes (worth in excess of US$85m and referred to ICC Arbitration) with a Thai subsidiary of a listed public company concerning design and construction of a waste to energy powerplant.
  • Advising a listed Thai electricity company on issues arising under their joint-venture hydroelectricity project in Laos triggered by a dam collapse. Claims valued in excess of US$500m were involved under a suite of shareholder agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, syndicated financing agreements and insurance policies.
  • Advising a Thai subsidiary of one of the largest construction companies in China in disputes (worth in excess of US$45m and referred to HKIAC Arbitration) relating to breach of construction contracts and payment disputes with the developer of a luxury hospitality and residential development in Phuket.
  • Advising a Major Thai Renewable Energy Company in arbitration proceedings in regard to disputes under Turbine Supply Agreement and Full Services Agreement against a major US manufacturing and service company (estimated claims to be in excess of US$50m and referred to SIAC Arbitration).
