Hamish is an Associate in the regulatory, public law & competition group.
Hamish has a range of regulatory experience across the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors.
He has acted for a variety of clients, both private and public, across contentious and non-contentious matters. He also has experience analysing environmental, planning and health & safety due diligence issues in project finance and corporate transactions, in delivering training on UK environmental and health & safety regulation to executive teams, in assisting clients with UK grid issues, and in judicial review.
- Advising global solar developer Lightsource bp on the sale of a portfolio of 58 operational assets to a consortium comprising GLIL Infrastructure and Bluefield Solar Income Fund.
- Advising energy and infrastructure clients on UK health and safety law compliance and carrying out health and safety strategy reviews.
- Assisting shipping companies and financial institutions on compliance with EU and UK carbon credits and emissions trading systems.
- Advising manufacturers and importers on various aspects of EU and UK product safety and conformity regimes (particularly regarding post-Brexit issues).
- Advising transport and energy clients on UK and EU environmental compliance, such as ship and battery recycling.
