Senior Associate London
George is a senior Associate in the London Projects group.
George specialises in banking and project finance transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors, including oil and gas, solar, battery energy storage, offshore and onshore wind.
Since joining the firm, George has spent time working in the firm’s London and Munich offices.
- Advising Infranity SAS, on behalf of its funds, on a circa €120m financing for the construction of a 178 MW portfolio of seven solar PV assets in Italy, owned by Peridot Solar Limited a portfolio company of FitzWalter Capital Limited.
- Advising Banco Santander on a €1bn green loan with a European Export Credit Agency (“ECA”) guarantee granted to Iberdrola for the financing of the acquisition of turbines for both onshore and offshore windfarm projects in Spain, Poland, Greece, Germany and the United Kingdom.
- Advising Lloyds Bank, NatWest and Allied Irish Bank acting as lenders on an innovative £230m finance facility granted to Low Carbon to create 1 GW of solar PV capacity.
- Advising a group of lenders on the £350m refinancing of West Burton Energy’s UK Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (“CCGT”) and 49 MW battery storage facility located in Nottinghamshire, UK. This is the largest UK gas generation project in over a decade.
- Advised the lenders to DIF Capital Partners, via its DIF Infrastructure VII fund, on the financing of a 540 MW portfolio of co-located UK solar generation and battery storage assets comprising seven ready-to-build sites.
