Emily is an associate in the Dispute Resolution Group.

Emily has experience in a wide range of international disputes, with a particular focus on international arbitration. Emily has experience representing clients in high-value, multi-jurisdictional arbitration under the ICC, LCIA and LMAA Rules, as well as experience advising clients on English High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court disputes. Emily specialises in construction & engineering and general commercial disputes.

Emily joined Watson Farley & Williams as a trainee in 2017 and qualified in 2019. She has worked in the firm’s London and Bangkok offices.

  • Advising a consortium of Chinese-state owned contractors in an ICC arbitration relating to a force majeure and termination dispute arising out of an amended FIDIC Silver Book contract in respect of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a 60MW(AC) PV plant.
  • Advising a Pakistan state-owned company in an LCIA arbitration relating to a multi-million US dollar invoicing dispute under a master sales and purchase agreement for the supply of 60 LNG cargoes.
  • Advising Precious Shipping Public Co., Ltd on a series of complex ongoing disputes over 11 ultramax bulk carrier newbuilding contracts with Jiangsu Guoxin Corporation Ltd, previously Sainty Marine Corporation Ltd.
  • Advising Zaha Hadid Architects on its successful joint venture bid with local partner Cox Architects for the design contract for the terminal precinct and interior of the new AU$5.3bn Western Sydney airport at Badgerys Creek, New South Wales, Australia.
