Elliot Macdonald

Elliot is a Senior Associate in our Dispute Resolution team.

His practice primarily centres around the energy sector – particularly in the renewables space – and involves both construction & engineering and general commercial disputes. He has represented clients in high-value, cross-border disputes resolved via international arbitration (under both the ICC and LCIA Rules) and via the English High Court. He also routinely provides advisory services to our clients, assisting them in strengthening their bargaining positions and in preventing disputes from ever escalating to formal proceedings.

Insurance is another key area of expertise and Elliot has significant experience in advising insurers (both major insurance companies and Lloyd’s market) in respect of complex policy coverage issues, with large industrial losses being a particular area of focus. He also has experience in conducting the defence of their insureds across a diverse range of industries and professions, including construction and engineering professionals, lawyers, company directors, auditors and insolvency practitioners.

Elliot is qualified in both England & Wales and New Zealand.
