Amir is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team.

His practice focusses on international arbitration, commercial litigation and public international disputes.

Amir has represented sovereign states, state-owned entities and multinational companies in international arbitrations under all of the major institutional rules including the ICC, LCIA, DIAC, HKIAC, SCC and SIAC, with seats in Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, DIFC, Dubai, Geneva, London, Manama, Nicosia and Singapore. He has also represented clients in ad-hoc UNCITRAL proceedings.

Amir has also represented clients in proceedings before the High Court of England and Wales, the DIFC Courts and the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. His experience covers disputes arising out of energy and infrastructure projects; mergers and acquisitions; government policies; sanctions listings; financial services agreements and cross-border supply and distribution agreements. Amir also sits as an arbitrator.

Amir is an English qualified solicitor and is fluent in English and Farsi.
