WFW deal wins Best Project Finance Deal in CEE at EMEA Finance Project Finance Awards 2025 26 June 2026

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that a deal the firm advised on has been awarded Best Project Finance Deal in CEE at the EMEA Finance Project Finance Awards 2025.

The EMEA Finance Project Finance Awards recognise excellence across the EMEA region, highlighting the most innovative, strategic and robustly financed infrastructure projects each year.

WFW advised Limak İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (“Limak”) and project company Antalya Alanya Otoyolu İnşaat Yatırım ve İşletme A.Ş. on the sustainability-linked financing of the €2.5bn Antalya–Alanya Motorway public-private partnership (“PPP”) project in Türkiye.

The consortium of lenders comprised multilateral development banks as well as leading international and Turkish financial institutions. The financing includes multiple tranches of conventional, covered and Islamic facilities and benefits from a debt assumption by the Turkish Treasury.

The Antalya–Alanya Motorway PPP represents a landmark transaction demonstrating both the transformative potential of sustainable transport development as well as the continued strength and attractiveness of Türkiye’s PPP framework.

Frankfurt Project and Structured Finance Partner Florian Kutzbach, who led the WFW Germany team that advised Limak, commented: “We are very pleased to see this flagship infrastructure project recognised by EMEA Finance. This award reflects the strength and sophistication of its financing structure and highlights the innovative approach taken to deliver this landmark project. As the largest sustainability-linked financing for a BOT motorway in the country, it also underlines the significance of this transaction within Türkiye’s infrastructure landscape and further demonstrates WFW’s ability to deliver complex, cross-border financings through close collaboration across our international network”.

This transaction has also received multiple other industry accolades, including Europe Roads Deal of the Year at the Proximo Deal of the Year Awards 2025, Transport Deal of the Year (Europe) at the IJGlobal Awards 2025, PPP deal of the Year at the PPP Week Awards 2026 as well as PPP Deal of the Year (Turkiye) at the Asset Triple a Sustainable Infrastructure Finance Awards 2026.
