WFW makes major Africa energy and projects Partner hire15 April 2019

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that Africa expert Titus Edjua, previously Director of magic circle firm Clifford Chance’s Africa group, has joined the firm’s highly regarded Energy Group as a Partner. Titus will officially be based in WFW’s London office, but will divide his time between there and the firm’s Paris office.

Titus has unrivalled expertise advising on project development and finance, as well as other corporate and general banking transactions, in both common and civil law African jurisdictions, with a special focus on the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. He also has extensive experience representing project sponsors (including DFIs, commercial banks and ECAs) and government and state agencies in Africa. Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Titus worked for the African Development Bank and for various boutique investment management and advisory firms.

Global Energy Sector Co-Head Henry Stewart commented: “I’ve known Titus for many years and am delighted to welcome him to WFW. Being recognised as a leading industry specialist for power, oil & gas and natural resources worldwide is core to the firm’s global strategy, and Titus joining us is a fantastic catalyst to boost our practice in the expanding African market”.

Titus added: “WFW is already highly regarded for its energy, infrastructure and natural resources expertise in many key jurisdictions around the world, notably in both London and Paris. This really does make the firm an excellent platform for me to enhance and expand the service I can offer my clients and I greatly look forward to helping build the firm’s footprint in Africa”.
