Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Solar Ventures on its sale to Capital Dynamics of a majority stake in Solar Italy XVI S.r.l. (“Solar Italy XVI”).
Solar Italy XVI owns the authorisations and permits required to develop a photovoltaic plant with a nominal power capacity of 18 MW, in the Sicilian municipality of Santa Croce near Camerina.
Solar Ventures is an IPP (Independent Power Producer) and developer focussed on the development, construction and financing of PV utility scale plants worldwide, with emphasis on emerging markets in which it has been active since 2008.
The WFW Italy Energy team that advised Solar Ventures on all corporate and M&A matters regarding the transaction was led by Italy Head and Partner Eugenio Tranchino and Counsel Luca Sfrecola, assisted by Associate Francesco Vanzaghi.
