Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Galileo Energia S.r.l. (“Galileo”) on its sale of three biomethane production plants projects to Bio Sardinia, a special purpose vehicle majority-owned by the Fortore Energia group.
The three biomethane production plants (LNG-CNG), whose construction has already been authorised, will all be located in Sardinia and will have a capacity of 400 smc/h each. They are expected to be operational by the end of 2023.
Galileo is a new player in the renewable energy plant development sector. It provides consulting services and develops its own initiatives in the wind, hydroelectric, photovoltaic and biomass sectors both in Italy and internationally.
Fortore Energia Group, one of Italy’s leading wind energy producers, has been designing, building and managing plants and services for the production of energy from renewable sources in the wind, photovoltaic and bioenergy sectors for more than 15 years.
The WFW Italy Corporate team that advised Galileo was led by Partner Carlo Cosmelli, assisted by Senior Associate Roberta Sturiale and Trainee Fabiola Francesca Longoni.
Gattai Minoli Partners acted as Bio Sardinia’s legal counsel.
