Stavroula is an Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group.
She specialises in shipping finance, acting on behalf of banks, financial institutions, and ship-owning companies.
Stavroula has extensive experience in shipping law financings, sale and purchase of second-hand vessels and newbuildings, large-scale due diligence for inter-bank transfer of loan portfolios, drafting specialised agreements for sale & purchase and refinancing loans, sale and lease-back deals and handling all procedural arrangements related to vessel reflagging, vessel change of ownership and corporate change of shareholding structure.
She joined the firm in December 2021 after working for a major S.A. corporation and an international law firm, both in Piraeus.
Stavroula is fluent in Greek, English and French and is a member of the Piraeus Bar Association.
- Advising Globus Maritime Limited on their US$28m sale and leaseback of newbuild bulk carrier m.v GLBS MIGHT with a Japanese leasing house.
- Advising First Citizens Bank on its acquisition of a US$123m portfolio of 11 shipping loans previously held by HSBC Bank. The loans acquired pertain to 14 vessels owned by eight different ship owners.
